TUNICA, Miss. (December 21, 2015) – MGM Resorts International’s (NYSE: MGM) Gold Strike Casino Resort has completed its latest restaurant addition with Pickle & Jam - A Social Eatery. The 7,500-square-foot restaurant transitioned from food court to fast, casual dining to meet the needs of guests on-the-go and those who prefer to sit and dine.
The restaurant’s name was the brainchild of Executive Food & Beverage Director Anthony Caratozzolo. “Pickles and jam are two Southern staples, which is exactly what this dining outlet offers. Guests place their order, and it’s delivered directly to their table.” said Caratozzolo. “The previous food court was three separate fast food venues in one area. We’ve consolidated those into one stop and added a number of bonuses guests will also appreciate.” Among those extras are 16 televisions and a grab-n-go station for expedited service. Guests can start their morning with a visit to the 21-seat coffee lounge. Another new feature is Pickle & Jam’s to-go waiting area, which includes convenient cell phone charging outlets.
The 138-seat eatery has offerings for every meal plus snacks. The menu is a range of morning breakfast sandwiches and pancakes along with hand-crafted burgers and sandwiches, salads, personal pizzas and pasta. It will also include 10 craft beers on tap.
Gold Strike’s newest restaurant is a final phase in the resort’s food & beverage multi-million dollar transformation. Buffet Americana opened in 2013 after an $8 million renovation, which was followed up by the opening of TEN10 Wine & Whiskey. “Pickle & Jam serves the modern-day needs of our guests,” said Gold Strike General Manager Melonie Johnson. “We value our guests, and one way to let them know that is to provide continuous resort upgrades. Whether it’s moving the M life Desk to a more convenient location, renovating hotel rooms and suites or offering fresh dining options, we want everyone who visits to feel our appreciation through the improvements made for them.”
Pickle & Jam is open 24 hours daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is offered from 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Gold Strike‘s additional restaurants remain in operation including Chicago Steakhouse, Atrium, Buffet Americana and in-room dining.
